HOTEL BOULIS, SIFNOS ISLAND

The location of the hotel

Sifnos belongs to the Western Cyclades group of islands, and the ferry trip from Piraeus takes between 2 ½ and 6 hours, depending on the type of ferry and the route taken. There are also several connections to other Cycladic islands, varying with the season.

Sifnos is one of the unspoilt islands of the Aegean, reverting in the winter months to a community of farmers and fishermen. Justifiably famous for its cuisine and ceramics, Sifnos also boasts several museums, frequent art exhibitions, traditional religious festivals and a food festival (early September). It is ideal for swimming, hiking, photography, painting……….or just relaxing.

Hotel Boulis is excellently located right on the sand in the middle of Kamares beach, only 600m from the port. We have the extremely rare advantage of being in a quiet area away from the main road, yet only a few minutes’ walk to bus stops, souvenir shops, ceramic workshops, etc. For several years now Kamares beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for safety and cleanliness.

Although Kamares is the port of Sifnos and should be bustling, it has retained its tranquil fishing village character, only really becoming lively for a short time each day when the ferries dock (and for most of August!).
